Alhamdulillah there is so much to celebrate lately. No,im not talking about Thanksgiving, Hannukah or Christmas. First, Hanis won the Nippon Paint Young Designer Award. This actually happened weeks ago. At first i wasnt sure exactly what he won so i thought it was not a big deal. Turned out i was wrong.
I asked you guys on facebook to vote for his design few months ago,
Apparently he did not win the People's Choice category, which means we didn't vote enough! But he won Gold award in the architecture category which is so much more meaningful since this involves professional judges.
Presentation / Q&A or something. I dont know. I guess it's something like beauty pageant where they ask questions. But this one of course minus the beauty part.
I foresee great future for him.
So ladies whatchu waiting for?
His work can be seen in a 3 page spread in the latest issue of Architecture Malaysia magazine.
The other thing is, youngest sister- Husna got 8A's for PMR. I went to her school on the result day. Haven't seen so many emotional people in one room since Rosma get kicked off from Akademi Fantasia. Maklumlah sekolah perempuan, result belum announce dah melalak macam mati kucing.
My sister was no exception. Dapat result je terus mengalir airmata syawal dengan muka putus harapan. I was like "shit, kompem tak jadik pergi Alamanda pasni". We all thought she didnt get straight A's so Mama pun dah ready nak pujuk. Sekali tengok semua A. So, motif kau nangis drama camtu??
This was after drama airmata.
Other than Husna, ada 2 orang cousins pun ambik PMR. Ain dan Ainaa (maafkan pemilihan nama yang tidak kreatif di situ). Alhamdulillah those 2 also get straight A's.
The three of them.
Congratulations guys. We all fellow Haji Rasdi clan are extremely proud of you. Celebrate it while it lasts because im pretty sure on the very first day of Form 4, your teacher will tell you "sebenarnya keputusan PMR kamu tidak bermakna apa-apa. SPM yang lebih penting"
As somebody who has gone through all this i can assure you that it doesnt end here. Sebab as soon as you go to uni and do A-level lecturer akan cakap "result SPM kamu tidak bermakna apa-apa. A level yang bakal menentukan masa depan".
And it goes on and on and on. A constant struggle i tell you. And guess what? After straight A's in UPSR, PMR, SPM, A level and impressive marks for my driving test, im still struggling. So please dont look forward to the future because honestly, it's not that fun.
