Post Exams Shenanigans

Hello everibadehhh! Lama tak update, walaupun dah habis exam kehidupan tetap busy okeh. Tapi busy berpoya-poya lah. Semenjak habis exam setiap hari tak duduk rumah, samada bermastautin di Gurney ataupun di  gerai makan sekitar Penang. Now im already back in Nilai, stuffing my face with homecooked food.

So disebabkan harini agak tak produktif, marilah kita update tentang aktiviti selepas exam. Aktiviti pertama lepas exam ialah tengok movie cerita Now You See Me. Not bad. The very next day pula naik Bukit Bendera sebab sepanjang 2 tahun lebih duduk Penang tak pernah jejakkan kaki ke Bukit Bendera.

Waktu naik bukit ni result belum keluar lagi. So berjimba pun half hearted la kiranya. Baru nak bersuka ria terkenang written papers yang macam nakharomm susahnya lantas terus kemurungan. Tu yang naik atas ambik satu gambor je.

Pastu the next day result keluar. Alhamdulillah pass, lepas sujud syukur semua pergi karoke. -___-"

Antara orang pertama yang di call untuk bagitau pasal result ialah ibubapa dan opah. Maka wajiblah keesokan harinya balik kampung untuk membuat lawatan rasmi ke kampung halaman.

Lama gila tak balik kampung, dekat sebulan lebih la jugak gara-gara study group every weekend. Syukur opah dan atuk still sihat lagi. Opah sekarang tengah layan cerita Teduhan Kasih tak pasal-pasal aku pun terjebak sama benci Nabila Huda dengan kak Long.

-tengah masak. Opah ni asal ambik gambor je mesti tengah masak. Kata cucu mithali balik nak makan, haruslah masak 5 hidangan sehari.

Balik ke Penang semula after 2 nightsdi kampung. Balik Penang terus berpicnic kat Feringghi beach,which in my opinion is overrated. Penang's beach sucks ass. Tak bersih dan bentuk muka bumi yang not meant for picnic/lepak-lepak. I dont know why people pay so much to stay at that kind of a beach. Baik pergi Redang.

And finally graduation ball with fellow classmates. Buat dekat Shang Ri La Feringghi. Depa hidang chinese food, menggigil nak kepit mushroom guna chopstick woih. Food was not bad, tapi dasar tekak desa lepas dinner pergi Kapitan makan cheese nan sebab tak kenyang makan makanan fancy-fancy nih.

It was fun. Cabutan bertuah dapat 3 tiket free GSC saja nak menggalakkan aktiviti lagha lagi. The dinner was on Friday night, the following Sunday ialah hari Conferring Ceremony aka graduation day. Yang tu nanti la bila-bila free update sebab sekarang masih mood malas.

Sekian sahaja update ringkas dan padat ibarat melepaskan batuk di escalator.

Minggu Emo: Snow White Dan Duda Kaki Botol

This whole week kinda sucks. Started my Public Health rotation which turned out to be Statistics 2.0. Belajar balik subjek statistic yang telah lama ditinggalkan sejak zaman A Level tapi dengan lebih mendalam dan juga melibatkan proses merekod data dengan menggunakan software yang sungguh tahi. To top it all off, setiap hari lecture super bosan 9 pagi hingga 4 petang.

And now we are in the process of developing questionnaires for our orang asli survey/research. Will be spending 5 days at an orang asli village somewhere in Perak T______T. Nak buat questionnaire ni satu hal jugak nak kena group meeting di luar waktu kelas. First meeting was at Mc Donalds sampai dekat pukul 12 malam.

Sibuk bincang pasal BMI,blood pressure orang asli padahal diri sendiri tengah melantak ayam goreng Mc Donalds. Super hypocrite,i know.

Minggu depan ni tak tau la lagi berapa kali nak buat group meeting malam-malam buta macamni. Kalau pagi takde kelas takpe lah jugak. Having to spend so much time doing things you have very little interest in is really depressing.

Lepastu tadi konon nak mengurangkan stress pergi tengok cerita Snow White and The Huntsman.

The movie sucks,big time. It was really awful i'd rather be in a group meeting discussing about my questionnaires than having to watch it again. The scene with the white deer in an enchanted forest or something- that was cheesy.

That is not the worst part of the movie. 2 words- Kristen Stewart. Bitch cant act. Even the horses in this movie display better acting skills. This is her ONLY expression throughout the movie;

You cant tell whether she is excited, feeling romantic, sad or just constipated. With that one facial expression she manage to convince a whole town to go against the super-gorgeous but extremely bitchy queen played by Charlize Theron. If your country is falling apart and your only hope lies in someone like Kristen Stewart, you are pretty much effed up. Believe it or not she led the whole army to war, a pretty ballsy move for someone who was nearly killed by a man with a bad haircut (those who have watched will know what im talking about)

Prestasi yang lebih teruk dari lakonan Neelofa dalam Cerekarama minggu lepas menyebabkan Charlize Theron kelihatan seperti overdoing it. Dia sorang je yang beria-ia berlakon padahal hero heroin utama chemistry pun takda.

Speaking of hero-heroin chemistry,another messed up part is when she woke up from death after the huntsman kissed her. Eventhough this is so predictable but i just cant accept the fact that her 'true love' is an alcoholic duda. What....a ridiculous twist on a classic tale.

After the movie we went to this restaurant called Winter Warmers. 

Ive read some quite good review about this place on the net and im calling it bullshit. The place looks like a shoplot in Nilai 3. The whole english deco was tacky-overload. If you are doing the whole english theme,please get a proper english teaset,not some il cheapo stuff you can find in Uptown.And the food sucks camel balls.

Banana chocolate waffle adela dalam 8-9 hirisan nipis pisang ditambah dengan RENJISAN chocolate sauce.If you look at the food pictures on the menu lagi sedih. Baik pergi Delicious makan chocolate brownies lagi bagus. Tambah pulak dengan waiter super rude pergh memang palang tempat ni dari senarai restoran pilihan.

Kepada anda di luar sana yang menginginkan weekend yang lebih bermakna sila jauhi Winter Warmers dan cancel saja niat menonton Snow White and the Huntsman.

Kenapa Anda Tidak Perlu Tonton Titanic

Im doing Psychiatry now and its a total snoozefest. By the end of this rotation i'll probably end up being crazy myself. We have a weekly quiz on every Monday, so goodbye fun weekends.

-Yep,that's me reading Psychiatry textbook-while waiting,at a carwash T_T

So on Saturday night i decided that i had enough of studying cewah konfiden gila kau and went for a midnight screening of Titanic 3D. I've seen this movie before tapi saja suka buang masa nak tengok lagi.

And personally i think nobody should spend their precious moolah to watch this movie at the cinema. Here's why...

1) 3D my ass.

It's an old film, shot originally in 2D. When they converted it to 3D nothing spectacular to be expected. The whole purpose of re-releasing this movie is no other than to make James Cameron a few millions richer. Most of the time the only 3D part was the subtitle and as expected,the erotic part of the film was cut by Lembaga Penapisan. So no Kate Winslet 3D boobies for you pervs out there. Even if you take off your 3D glasses you won't see much difference.

2) Same old storyline

DUH. At the end of the movie the ship still sink, and Jack still mati beku.

It's still sad but somehow the emotion was not quite the same like waktu mula-mula tengok dulu. You will cry but not because of the sad ending, tapi sebab mengenangkan 17 ringgit melayang beli tiket cerita 3D yang tak berapa nak 3D.

3)Asshole audience

Disebabkan ini cerita lama and people kinda know the storyline already, bila sampai part-part yang macam bosan sikit tu mula lah asshole-asshole pawagam buat bising. There's this one Ah Beng sitting at front row who thinks he's so taiko that he can answer his phone in the middle of the movie. Orang-orang macamni elok kau rejam dengan Nokia 3310. Lepastu ada this one aunty who keep on yapping about how the 3D glasses gives her double vision. Seriously aunty, balik lipat kain la woi.

4) It's pretty damn long- 3hours

Walaupun dah pernah tengok, i forgot about how this movie gives Hindustan a run for their money. But the good thing is tak sedar pun dekat 3 jam duduk dalam tu , masuk pukul 12.15 habis 3 pagi. Yang tak bagusnya ialah bila kau ada kuiz the following Monday and you realize shoot! takde masa nak qada' tidur esok sebab nak cuba habiskan baca notes. Cuba, kata kunci di situ.

But on the other hand, those of you who has never seen this movie you should definitely go see it. Walaupun filem ini agak cekik darah but it's no doubt one of the best movie of our generation.

Filem Seram Yang Tak Seram

It has finally come to one update per week. Not that i purposely dont want to update on a regular basis,it's just that im too tired to blog on weekdays. I've to gerak to hospital at 6.50 every morning and lectures finish at 4.30-5 pm. By the time im home jiwa dan ragaku diserahkan kepada tilam empuk.

Then this is what i was working on every freakin night last week;

-the bloodyhell case write-up.and yes,i need that penyepit baju.senang nak refer sambil type.

Kerana itulah hari weekend sungguh dinanti-nantikan. 2 hari yang boleh bangun pukul 12, takpayah risau baju belum iron dan boleh ke kedai nasi campur tanpa perlu mandi dan gosok gigi terlebih dahulu.

Weekend juga satu-satunya time yang free untuk berfoya-foya bersama rakan-rakan. We are huge horror movie fans jadi malam jumaat plan untuk menonton The Devil Inside di panggung wayang.

Tiket pukul 8.30 dah habis so we had dinner at Chili's while waiting for the 11.30 screening.

Duduk dari pukul 8.30 sampai 11.30 haruslah order bottomless juice dengan chips. Bahagia sungguh dapat berpeleseran tanpa tujuan begini sambil bersembang perkara-perkara yang tak ilmiah dan tak memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat.

How was the movie you ask? I personally think movie ini sungguh sampah sekali. While the exorcism scenes were quite scary, the whole storyline was predictable and draggy at times. Banyak persoalan-persoalan penting tidak dikupas dengan mendalam. For example apasal mak dia kena sampuk? Kalau setakat nak tengok scene orang kena rasuk baik carik kat youtube je.

And the ending....haihhh the ending. I might as well tell you guys so that you dont have to watch this snoozefest of a movie. Ending dia semua orang mati dalam kereta bila driver kena sampuk. I havent seen this kind of shiteous ending since Razak Mohaideen's Mistik yang ending dia rupa-rupanya ia semua mimpi fatamorgana $#^$&%*&*&!*. Lepas semua orang mati terus roll credits. Dahlah takde muzik ke apa waktu credit,semua audience macam tak percaya movie dah habis judging from their cilaka-did-i-just-pay-11 ringgit-for-this-shit looks on their faces.

It's no surprise that this movie scores an embarassing 5% on rottentomatoes.com. Buat penat je semangat tunggu sampai pukul 11.30 sanggup refill air 4 kali . Kes budak kena sampuk dekat ward lagi scary woih.

When i first heard Didie Alias' new single- You & I on the radio,i thought this song sounds familiar. Macam pernah kudengari di mana-mana. And i was right.

This video was recorded semasa zaman muda-muda lagho dahulu di The Monster Ball Tour in Dublin last year. You & I was one of the song that she sang during her piano session. Rupa-rupanya berkurun sebelum album 'Diberanakkan Seperti Ini' dihasilkan, lagu ini sudah pun dinyanyikan secara live di konsert-konsert seantero dunia. How cool is that?

OMG: Berjumpa Lady Gaga Di Hard Rock Cafe Penang

My cousin is doing her lab-practical thingy in Penang as well. But we've never meet up before despite the fact that we are living only 20 minutes from each other. So last night we decided to hang out since she promised to belanja me Tony Romas after i got back from Dublin. No,she is not that generous. I have to bought her a perfume set from Dublin first. No such thing as free meal with this fler.

Since we have no idea whether Penang ada Tony Romas or not,we settled for Hard Rock Cafe je la. Miss I-dont-need-GPS took more than an hour to fetch me at my house,then off we go to Feringghi.

Among all the HRC i've been to,i think Penang's is the smallest one. But nemind,you can choose mahu duduk tingkat atas atau bawah. Its a bit hard to get a table in the weekends,so making a reservation beforehand would be a good idea.

Memperkenalkan,tukang bayar dinner;

-i thought im the only one who gained weight.kau pun dah bulat weh ngehngeh

Kronologi si gelojoh menunggu makanannya sampai;

-sabar menunggu makanan...

-tiada lagi sopan dalam kamus hidupku.

Portion makanan adalah super besar. Struggle gila nak habiskan,kalau tak mengenangkan harga burger 50 hengget dah aku lempor bawah kerusi burger nih. Nasib baik sedap,so bolehlah makan slow-slow.

Around 10-ish,ada live band perform. They sang a lot of current songs dan jugak few evergreens. Best gila,and boleh request-request lagu.

Sambil melayan perasaan order dessert, three tiered Haagen Dasz with hot fudge thingy.

Owh and we spotted Nabila Huda (the retis) in the audience. Aaaanddd Lady Gaga was there too!! Me and my cousin were so jakun,excited la konon nampak artis sikit-sikit nak usya lepastu bila Nabila pandang balik buat muka macam 'kau apahal pandang-pandang aku,nak mampos?'

Of course we didn't take picture with them,malu le weh. Orang lain chill je takkan kau nak gelabah mintak nak bergambar segala. But i did snapped a pic of Lady Gaga from afar;

Filem Ter-best 2011.

Since i'm a huge nerdHarry Potter fan,maka adalah bias for me untuk menulis review tentang filem terakhir dari siri awesome ini. Eh tapi,that's not entirely true kot since i think Half Blood Prince was a huge disappointment. So im glad that they decided to divide this final instalment into two parts. More money for them,more fun for us. Win-win di situ.

Buku yang last ni dah 3 kali baca tahu tak,bukan baca secara sambil lewa tapi baca dengan penuh penghayatan sehingga menitiskan airmata kudus tiap kali sampai ke chapter sedih.Jikalau baca buku surgery macamni nescaya naik pangkat jadi ketua surgeon sebaik graduasi. Begitu mendalam sekali minat diri ini terhadap sihir. Eh magik. Eh ke sihir? Ok la magik la,kurang khurafat sikit bunyinya.

Jadi bila filem terakhir ini ditayangkan last week,jiwa ini menggelupur untuk menontonnya. Tapi kau faham-faham lah,i ni kan bizi orangnya jadi agak slowpoke dah berapa hari keluar wayang baru nak tengok.Takboleh la nak jadik macam zaman foya-foya di Dublin hari premier dah beratur depan panggung wayang.

Those who read the book mesti perasan few changes they made to the movie. But fret not,even kalau anda ada life dan tidak habiskan usia remaja dalam bilik baca novel Harry Potter yang tebal itu,you will still be able to enjoy it. But my advice to you is go watch the Part 1 first. Takdelah nanti jadik macam those two bitches next to me and my friends,memekak dalam wayang nak orang eksplen kat kau apa jadik,kenapa susah payah pecah masuk bank semata-mata nak rompak cawan. Annoying tau tak bila aku nak feel kau ngokgekngokngek kat seblah. Aku bayar 18 hengget ni nak dengar kau jadik narrator je lah?

Jadi sempena berakhirnya siri Harry Potter ini,mari kita lihat koleksi gambar yos truli melancong di lokasi filem Harry Potter.

Menyambut Hari Lahir Bersama Hattan

Hari ni bangun awal pagi semata-mata nak tonton Transformers 3 dekat Jusco Seremban 2. Sebab mengenangkan weekend pasti budak-budak sekolah dan mak budak sekali komfem conquer wayang,maka kugagahi jua keluar weekdays macamni. In my opinion, Tranformers 3 is the best one among all Transformers movie.

Pergilah tonton dan nilaikan sendiri. Rosie Huntington adalah hot. Megan who?

Tapi highlight hari ini bukanlah filem ini. Sewaktu menyambut belated birthday (terdelay 2 minggu haha) saudari Dyla di GreenBox, sesuatu yang bermakna terjadi.

Penyanyi unggul Hattan telah berbesar hati untuk menyanyikan lagu 'Happy Birthday' diikuti dengan lagu hit beliau Rendang Tak Berbuah. Luckily,all this was caught on tape.

Itu memang Hattan.Takyah pertikai.

Nur Kasih Tidak Best.Period.

Actually i have several other more serious posts waiting to be published in the archive but i decided to write this movie review first. Sebab i kenot tahan people saying this movie is so good,when its not.

Following the big hoohah in the media almost everyday since it came out,my expectation for NurKasih adalah seperti keyakinan Dr Rozmey yang filemnya akan mencapai 40 juta. Dan seperti Dr Rozmey juga i was sorely disappointed.

Let me start with a few good points;

Firstly the storyline is interesting. Sesiapa yang kata tak paham jalan cerita its either you sibuk 'ringan-ringan' in the cinema and didnt pay attention or you should really get your IQ checked. Because i didnt follow the series either,but can still understand the storyline.

Secondly, pelakon kanak-kanak dan pelakon pembantu sungguh terpuji bakat lakonannya. Jarang kita jumpa pelakon extra yang betul-betul berkaliber macamni. Selalunya pelakon extra inilah yang menjatuhkan kualiti sesuatu movie. Yes im talking about you, Merong Mahawangsa.

And finally, i love the subtle islamic message conveyed through this movie. Sebab cerita yang konon ala-ala islamik (case in point;Syurga Cinta) selalu macam ter-fake sikit cara penyampaiannya. NurKasih manage to overcome that effortlessly.

Sekarang kita lihat aspek negatif filem ini pula;

Bila orang kata ini filem sedih,they lied. Ini filem depress. Dari mula start sampai habis nangis manjang sampai kau dah letih nak emosi. Kalau campak Wan Maimunah dalam tu sambil diselang-selikan dengan setengah jam iklan antara babak komfem saling tak tumpah macam Cerekarama.

Bila dah over-over sangat menangis,penonton pun fed up weh. Sedih tak semestinya digambarkan dengan scene menangis,banyak cara lain nak bangkitkan mood sedih. Tengok aku dah bagi kuliah pembikinan filem pulak kat sini.

Dari sudut sinematografi ,i personally think Kabir Bhatia was trying too hard. Since this is a movie, he tried to put some 'special effect' which have quality of a powerpoint presentation at a Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Surau. Waktu dalam drama,sinematografi sumpah cantik sebab tak dicemari dengan efek-efek murah sebegini. Rasa nak gelak pun ada tengok scene orang arab terbakar.

Berkenaan plot cerita,penulis skrip macam nak masukkan sebanyak mungkin konflik dalam satu filem. Akibatnya semua musibah yang anda boleh fikirkan berlaku dalam keluarga ini. People died in accident, cedera teruk,keguguran kandungan, hilang tanpa berita dan macam-macam lagi. Satu keluarga ini patut buat fieldtrip ke bawah jambatan untuk mandi bunga.

So overall, i think its not worth it to watch NurKasih at cinema. Wait a while,it'll be on Astro First in no time.

If you refuse to believe in my questionable taste in movies,and still thinking of watching NurKasih at wayang,i just want to let you guys know that Norman Hakim is in this movie.

So,think again.lol.

Cerita Hantu Terpaling Saspen

I love weekends.

Weekend je lah time nak makan best dan berpeleseran tanpa wawasan. Selalunya weekdays breakfast,lunch,dinner beli belakang hospital. Kalau kena food poisoning senang aku saman satu row gerai belakang hospital tu.

Disebabkan semalam adalah malam minggu, me and the same group of friends had western food at Mikki's Western Junction dekat Jalan Pantai Jerejak. It's a small restaurant serving reasonably priced western food. I've been here before with other group of friends,but we didnt eat. Sebab diorang kata tempat ni tak halal.

Well guess what? its effin halal sucka! I've checked already,do you seriously think i would suggest a harom eating place?? Im probably the least religious person you know but im not planning to eat babi anytime soon hehe. The chef is a Malay cuma dia sewa tapak je dari cina.

I had one of the best Marinara Spaghetti and my friends had lamb chop and grilled stuff.

Seperti malam-malam minggu yang lalu,lepas makan kami pergi menonton wayang kerana malam masih muda. Ramai gila okeh orang dekat wayang kompem semua nak tengok NurKasih. So we decided to watch Insidious.

Insidious is the best horror movie i've watched at a cinema.ever.

Berbaloi bayar 9 ringgit tak macam zaman sekolah dulu tengok cerita Mistik tiket 11 ringgit. Razak Mohaideen bak balik 11 ringgit aku weh. Insidious is not like any other horror movie yang setiap 2 menet hantu keluar tunjuk muka. Hantu dia jenis yang keluar sekilas pandang so bila nampak kau macam 'omaigod aku sorang je ke yang nampak weh,nak azan sekarang'.

Walaupun saspen,cerita ni senang difahami. Tak macam cerita The Grudge yang kena buat peta minda baru boleh paham. Then as the story progress, jalan cerita jadi macam predictable. Sekali tiba-tiba dia buat twist as in twist dalam storyline dialah bukan hantu menari twist.Terus ending tak boleh blah horror gila. Its so scary sampai ada orang simbah diri sendiri dengan popcorn. Im not gonna name names here lah. *cough* marshitah *cough*

They say bring tissue to NurKasih because you will cry. For insidious i say bring pampers,you will pee your pants.

Attitude Problem

I started my surgery rotation this week and we have bedside teaching with the surgeons EVERYDAY. Which means there's a very high probability that you gona get scolded on a daily basis. Yes,its a very hostile working enviroment. Dahlah you are dealing with diseases,exposing yourself to countless viruses and bacteria on top of that boleh kena maki lagi. Fuh, memang dream job nih.

When i was doing my medicine rotation a doctor said i've attitude problems for being 1 minute late. Actually i wasnt even late,he was the one who came one minute early. But since im constantly whining,i guess i do have attitude problems eh?

First step to recovery. Admit.

Ok menyimpang kepada cerita lain pulak, kelmarin i went to vet with my friend to send her cat. Her cat fell off dari tingkat 7 and went missing for a night. Siap buat misi mencari tapi still tak jumpa malam tu. Sikit lagi nak call Harun Din suruh carikkan.

But the next morning she found the cat dalam keadaan yang menyedihkan.

So that evening after class we went to see the vet. Tapi masuk-masuk je kena straight kena marah dengan vet tuh sebab lambat bawak pergi klinik. He said if the cat has internal bleeding,by that time sure dah mati.

BUTTTTT the cat is still alive whattt. No need to emo here,dahlah pagi tension dengan dokter senior petang kena marah dengan dokter haiwan pulak. Sikit lagi nak makan kaki aku ni ha.

After getting all the ubat needed we went to makan at Fort Cornwallis. Had mee goreng sotong (my second time having this hehe)

Its really good and also cheap. Tapi kalau taknak cepat muak jangan gaul mee dengan sambal sotong tuh sebab dia letak banyak sangat sambal.

We also had ais kacang =)

The stall that serves this ais kacang makes the best coconut shake in the world. Like seriously, the best.

I was so fascinated by this coconut shake i even 'Like' the pakcik's page on facebook. Yes hawkers nowadays are so canggih they have fanpage on facebook.
